The Village of Fort Edward
supports a two-man S.C.U.B.A. Team, consisting of
Patrolman
Sean Mahoney and Chief Walter Sandford.
The S.C.U.B.A. team
responds to all water emergencies, as well as assisting with
municipal water services. The department assists the
water department with the inspection and maintenance of the
water mains that traverse the Hudson River as well as the
reservoir and Doherty Station.
Below are photos that
illustrate an inspection of the Doherty Station in 2005.
The inspection checked the integrity of the incoming line that
feeds the new water treatment facility. The inspection
was in a confined well, below the Doherty Station.
